Topic 1 - Words That Really Work

Words have to shine these days if they're going to be effective. The need is not just for them to stand out from the crowd. You may also want them to influence decision makers, touch hearts, change lives or even sway nations. So how well are you employing their power and potential?

No one who creates messages of any sort can afford to be sloppy in today's word-drenched world. Words can't be foggy, because no one's got time to spare. And they have to be authentic, ringing with the truth of what you stand for. Readers and TV viewers know bullshit when they see it. All of us are looking for honesty.

I demonstrate what works and what doesn't, raising laughs with clunkers and spotlighting great moments - drawing inspiration from sources old and new and as disparate as Winston Churchill and Wikipedia.

Topic 2 - You're One in a Million

My whole career has been about gathering people's stories. I've printed them in books and magazines, broadcast them on radio and aired them on TV.

I now know two things: no one's life is ordinary, and yet it's also true that countless people have endured the same troubles and fought the same battles. Each generation builds on foundations built by forbears and yet we face our challenges as if no one's ever been in our shoes before. Lindsey focuses on the ancestral strength we can draw on to thrive in even hard times. Few realize that if you go back a mere 20 generations you are the product of around a million ancestors. And if evolution is all about the survival of the fittest, the good news is, hey, that's you!

I give inspiring keynotes and workshops to help people appreciate the power of their own stories - for it gives them huge satisfaction to realise there is no such thing as an ordinary life and that their own life is special.
